With Electronic Check Collections there is no embarrassment. So, while they don't like having to deal with a HOT CHECK, Electronically is still the preferred method. 2. Are there any checks that cannot be collected electronically? YES Business Checks, Payroll Checks, 3rd Party Checks, Checks over 180 days old, and checks that are over $2500.00. 3. Can I let you do electronic re-presentment and do the secondary myself? YES 4. How long has electronic re-presentment been in effect? Since mid 1999. 5. Is there anything I must do to comply with the re-presentment laws? YES You must post all proper notifications and obtain authorization form the check writer by having them sign either a contract, invoice, receipt, or by stamping the back of the check with the proper verbiage and having the check writer sign it. This is the law! 6. What happens if my check writer doesn't want to sign this notice? Well, it's your choice but in our opinion it means you know right then and there that their check isn't any good. We recommend that you don't accept it if they refuse to sign it. After all the fees are only collected electronically in the event the check bounces. 7. What happens if I want to stop using your service? Well, we will miss you but just tell us and we will cancel your service. 8. Is there a cancellation fee? Absolutely not. We will complete the work on the checks that come to us and we will be finished.
